Most of the photographs presented here were taken by myself from 1988 to the present. Other photographs were contributed by, and are credited to, other JIRP members. The photos are grouped by various categories, as shown in the Table of Contents to the left. To view the photos for a particular category, click the appropriate link in the Table of Contents. A page of thumbnail photos for that category will then appear. If you would like to view a larger version of a particular photograph, just click the photo.

All the photographs are copyrighted. If you would like to use any photos for scholarly or personal purposes, you are free to do so as long as you properly credit the photographer. Also, feel free to let me know what you think of the photos. Because The Crevasse Zone is primarily dedicated to the dissemination of JIRP survey data, I understand that pouring over page after page of data can get a bit boring. So when you want to take a break, browse the photos for a glimpse of life and research on the spectacular Juneau Icefield. And when you've seen all the photos, go here for a glimpse of the lighter side of glaciology!

One further note. In the interest of maximizing the space on my web server and reducing download time, I've compressed the photos as much as possible without sacrificing too much quality. The resulting photos aren't as crisp and clear as I'd like, but in order to get through the crevasse zones of the online world you sometimes have to choose a less than ideal route.

If you enjoy these photographs and would like to see other samples of my work for sale, please visit the Alaska Photographics and Imaging website at http://alaskaphotos.biz

Enjoy!
